Gabe is so easygoing. He got a couple presents (police Lego sets) that were the same and I told him we could take them back so he could get something different. "No, that's ok. I can use them." I again explained that we had the receipts and he could pick out what he wanted, but no that was too much hassle.
Yesterday was his birthday and we had planned on spending the day in Seattle, but when he saw the snow-covered road he decided to stay around town. I told him we could still go to Seattle, but he said it was okay to stay here. "No, it's fine; we'll just go to Red Robin and rent a movie."
Last night I stayed up making him brownies for school. He was supposed to have his birthday at school today, but the school cancelled class this morning. His dad told him about school and Gabe said, "okay" and went back to playing Legos.
"Mom, can we go sledding today?" The snow looks really slushy and there isn't much of it, so I told him we could go for a walk to check out the sledding conditions, and maybe pull him along in a sled a little.
"Okay, I'll wake dad up after breakfast." I know Gabe really wants to go solo down the park hills, but we need more snow.

Sounds like Eli. He takes everything as it comes.
Hope you get more snow, Gabe!
