Kitty Jones got his stitches taken out yesterday. He's pretty much all healed up and acting like his usual self. He's no longer allowed outside and he seems to have come to term with that.
We've been catching up housework we couldn't get to during the school year. We updated the basement den. We pulled out the beige carpet (beige doesn't do well with kids and cats and a garage entryway) and painted the beige walls. The flooring is finally completed. Now, we just need a new couch down there. Our current one is the most uncomfortable one ever. Our next project is dry walling the downstairs bathroom and garage. After the bathroom walls go up, we can have Bath Fitter put up the shower. It will be nice to have two bathrooms again.
We've been enjoying our summer share of crops from the farm. It's so great to know where our food is coming from. This week we picked up:
- Pea Shoots
- Cipollini Onions
- Salad mix
- Butter Lettuces
- Cilantro
We've started getting fresh eggs there too.
The weather just started to get nice here, so we've been able to continue our Disney World Fitness Plan. We've been trying to walk at least 4 miles a few times a week. Gabe can do about a mile max and then hops in the stroller.
Gabe's big thing lately is setting up "museums." As you can see here, we have dinosaurs on display on top of the front door. The My Little Pony is the largest of all dinosaurs.

I think I've read about the mighty My Little Ponyasaurus.
Sean has about a mile in him as well before he's looking for a ride in the stroller or on Jonathan's shoulders.
Gabe tries to con Patrick into carrying him on his shoulders. Gabe's getting a bit too big for it though.
Sean's new thing is getting Jonathan to put him on his shoulders and then making him race me. He says "re-tee, shet, go!"
